Vicente del Bosque will fondly remembered his time with Spanish giants Real Madrid

Vicente del Bosque will fondly remembered his time with Spanish giants Real Madrid. Even though he spent an extremely short time at the club, he managed to get them to 2 Champions League titles.

Thus, he became one of the last managers to have achieved this feat with Madrid. One of the players who was part of the title winning team under del Bosque is Zinedine Zidane. The Spaniard manager knows the Frenchman very well and he recently saw Zidane being appointed as a replacement for Rafa Benitez. Despite having no managerial experience at the top level, Zidane has been appointed without any shadow of doubt.

The Frenchman has already received a lot of support from several quarters and the latest has come fromdel Bosque. The Spain manager has announced his plans to retire after the Euro 2016. He is expected to take up a higher position at a club like Madrid. His presence will allow the likes of Zidane to blossom. For the time being, though, del Bosque reckons that the former Juventus midfielder will have no trouble in getting the club back on its feet. Results have been extremely inconsistent in the league and the club are already several points behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

"Sometimes it’s a box of surprises. But he has the preparation, the formation, good knowledge of the sport, he knows the dressing room and how certain situations are managed. He is capacitated. How could I not feel that way? He was an excellent player and he knows the dressing room, which is the most important thing. When I worked at Real Madrid they were different times. Now it’s not better nor worse, but we tried to take advantage of everything that Madrid offered,” said Del Bosque, who is aiming to retain the European Championship in the summer.
