ONE OF THE BEST

Vicente del Bosque has emerged as one of the most revered managers in recent years after guiding Spain to European and world cups. He has managed to transform Spain into the best team in the world without a shadow of doubt. However, his extraordinary CV has also seen him lift numerous trophies at club level as well including the Champions League.

He was famously in charge of Real Madrid for only one season before being sacked despite winning the competition. The Spanish national team manager now has been linked with a return to the Santiago Bernabeu amidst rumours that Mourinho may quit at the end of the season.

José Mourinho has grown disillusioned with life in Spain that he is willing to quit the club, which pays him in excess of £ 10 million per year, at the end of the season. He has hinted on several occasions that he may return to Chelsea. This may leave Real Madrid searching for yet another manager, as it has been the case with the club over the last two decades. In the last 26 years, Real Madrid have hired 24 managers. Now, they should look at signing Vicente del Bosque according to former midfielder Christian Karembeu.

Del Bosque is expected to quit the Spanish national team at the end of 2014 World Cup.

"I heard rumours that Mourinho could be going. If he did, between [Carlo] Ancelotti, [Jurgen] Klopp and Heynckes, I’d prefer Jupp because I know him well. Although I really wish Del Bosque could return. I'm sad for Iker because I have known him ever since he was 17 years old. He has won everything and he has the experience, talent and intelligence. He needs to be patient. Diego Lopez is very strong and it is not an easy decision for the coach to make," said Karembeu.
